Why don't Kerry and Bush just run together on the ticket. Let Cheney and Edwards run on a ticket too.

Kerry and Bush are related anyway (distant cousins, if I remember correctly). Both their families are from the New England area. And they both are from Yale and the skull club and nice and wealthy. :)

Edwards is about useless. But your average american will never realize this because Edwards has "charisma"

No, No, it's Bush is about useless. But your average american will never realize this because Bush has a great spin machine, not to mention Karl Rove.

But Bush does have one redeeming quality - he can always be used as a bad example.

Imagine how the world would be if Kerry died and Edwards was president. It'd be worse than Carter.

It wouldn't be any worse than Bush Jr. or Dan Quayle as president. Bush Sr. still got in with Quayle on the ticket.

I remember a newpaper cartoon that showed Bush Sr. giving a campaign speech. Bush said:

I promise to strengthen the military.
I promise to not raise taxes.
And (after looking back at Quayle) I promise not to die.

hey, shut up man! i have a hard enough time keeping the tourists away! (shifty eyes).

anyway, it wouldn't make any sense for bush to talk to the naacp, that would be all progressive and brave...

Edwards isn't all that bad. He built his own career rather than having it given to him by his parents. People liked the fact that Edwards was about the only one in the primaries that didn't revert to negative campaigning.

You'll have to do better than that. Most people in DC are lawyers or have a legal background. His political experience is no less than Bush Jr. when he took office. Not only that, but Bush was running as the President on the ticket, not the VP.

I can respect Edwards a bit since life wasn't handed to him on a silver platter. Not that I like ambulance chasers or anything, but at least he made his own money.

I just have no love of Edwards, he isn't qualified for the job. Hell he hasn't even finished his term in congress.

You know, grievous, with that argument, no one should be in the legislative, judicial, or administrative branches at either the federal, state, or local levels. The reason? They had no experience when they took the job.

    Got another argument?

The same can be said for Bush. And he's president, not VP.

He had expierence as governor, which is a stepping stone. Given he doesn't have 20 odd years in the senate like kerry has.

Edwards started his Senate term in Jan. 1999. To be fair and balanced, he has more than nil political experience.
