new posts dont just pop up on the page. the idea is, you make a post, then go read something else, then come back to your original post to see what people said.

It has never been like that before though, I could always come back to a post or the site and see the new posts.

Is firefox a safe program? I have had problems with viruses in the past.

not just safer than but firefox is the absolute safest browser available

you probably have some issues with your host file or cookies...my guess is you've run some prog to clean things up and managed to block the cookies for the sites you're having trouble with

but that's just a guess not knowing anything about it other than what've said

try firefox but be aware, there's a slight learning curve so if you do try it, don't get frustrated..just come back and ask how to

delete your cookies and history folder. IMHO Firefox and IE is all personal prefernce. IE has its problems and Firefox has its problem. Just do me a favor and don't use netscape -_- I get 1 to many calls aday at work that go something like this "My netscape is broken and i want it fixed NOW!"

i don't care how people do biz but the issue was about "safety".... security....

wouldn't you expect one that knows how to repair a broken netscape to know the differences in security between IE and FF rather than making them appear equal?
