New Computer for me!

    :sunglasse I just ordered, a Gateway computer.

    features:
    2.66GHz, Intel Celeron D processor 331
    512MB DDR dual channel SDRAM
    80GB 7200 RPM hard drive
    DVD/CD-RW/CD-Rom
    17 inch flat screen crt monitor
    6 usb ports
    Intergrated graphics media excellerator 900 with up to 128mb shared memory
    Microsoft XP home edition
    Comes with free Lexmark color printer.
    Has some other features like norton antivirus and an anti spyware program.

    I think this system will work just fine for my internet acticities and some other home usage, Cant wait to get this new system.

    What system do all of you use and what features?

    you know I probably should have put this in the computer section, oops. If a mod wants to move it they can.

    sounds like a decent pc, chris. congrats. my pc is a dell and it sounds almost exactly like what yours is even though it is old(er).

    I'm ordering my new PC tomorrow.

    AMD Athlon Dual Core X2 64 Bit 4800+ with 1MB of Level 2 Cache

    Nvidia FX7800 GTX Extreme Edition 512MB PCI Express x 2

    4GB of DDR RAM

    Thermaltake 'Tai Chi' tower (with inbuilt water cooling)

    Asus A8N-SLi Premium Socket 939 Motherboard inc. Q-Switch

    It has loads of other features including loads of blue LEDS but yeah..

    It comes with a 64 bit OS [​IMG] It's not going to cost me a cent because it's a new years present, hehe (but yeah, about 2,500 just for an extreme gaming PC) [​IMG]

    Way to go, Gateways are my personal favorite. Those machines are rock solid! Although, Celerons = Electrical Poo when it comes to performance, but they're tolerable~

    Personally my main computer is my own custom build, and I have a Gateway S-7200C Convertible Notebook for travel and whatnot. It's nice!

    i gots a 1gig celeron
    256 mb SDRAM
    cd/r drive
    dvd drive
    badass stereo plugged into it
    winxp
    40gig storage hard drive
    20gig main hard drive

    this computer is about 4 years old and the only original parts are the motherboard, cpu, and modem. everything else, even the case and powersupply are custom. oh the 20gig main hd came with it too

    Yeah, I love working in 3D! The $2000 worth of GPU's is just for gaming though. I'm going to upgrade my broadband connection to eliminate 'ping' :p
