So I have a friend that makes these units. They can be pulled by ANYTHING!!! They sleep 2 people, have an area in the back that lifts up for serving food, etc.. and you can even get a custom one with a built in TV or a built in Keg tap!!! They can design anything on the sides to match your current vehicle or just something funky and fun! Check out this site. I want one!!!!!! :)

Oh, thank you! I've seen these "egg campers" sold nearby, and have been dying to see what they look like on the inside! I think it'd be ideal for us once the kids are grown :)

    love,

They ARE great! And the nice thing about them is although they look small they really are more then enough room for 2 people! And you can also customize them in so many ways! You can also get a tent that can attach to the side of it so if you have a bigger family they can all fit!!!!

    Glad you liked the site!

I looked at the UK site. I guess they have the same footprint as the small utility trailers which makes them easy to manouver (if your driving is as crappy as mine then you would understand this as a big advantage!). ;)

lol :D My driving is good.
-But they are really easy to manouver in any vehicle. You can pull them by car, truck, 4-wheeler, pretty much anything!

they seem a tad expensive at £2,000. I mean you can buy a used mobile home for a little less. Though i admit they also seem pretty cool. Personally from what i know of them from the site, i would prefer a vw camper. Over here i could get a vw van from a dealer (CAR dealer :p ) for about £2,000.
    peace and love

It's a classic tear drop trailer. Super cool. You can obtain plans to build your own. I have some friends that live out of their 71 VW bus and pull on of those bad boys which was modified into a rolling bathroom. Super cool and old school to boot.

You could easily mount a plywood structure on top of an existing utility trailer and make your own - and still maintain the attractive curved profile! I guess it depends on ones skills, time and confidence... for the rest of us one consideration is buying a larger used vehicle or trailer as already suggested. :p

Ya, they are a bit spendy but if you can get good use out of one then they are well worth it! and to get one that you know is built with quility! I just love this one cause it has cabinets and everything you need! - it's like a small hotel room on wheels! :)
