Anyone here in the past or currently lived on a commune? I am considering maybe in the future living at one. What is it like? Does it harken back to the old hippie days? Is it technology free? What are some communes that have websites? thanks
I want to run away and join a commune. There are actually a few in Iowa- actually there is a big communal community in SE Iowa. I don't know much about it other than that I think it's very interesting.
i lived in in a few communities, every commune is different its not like it's only hippies who live in communities... i like living with a group of people (thats basically what is) you have to find the right group of people, some communities have a 'goal' of some sort, like vegan communes, gay communes (seriously! ) religious communes etc etc so this: What is it like? Does it harken back to the old hippie days? Is it technology free? is not really something you can ask it is hard to live with a group of people, but i learned alot from it, and it's a wonderful experience too.
haha. Srry i can't help you man. I was thinking about maybe joinging the commune nearby me in Ithaca NY when Im like 16 or something, but that's not for a little while yet. Peace & love, Oren
