I was in indianapolis this past weekend w/ my good friends groovatron..I got a heady hotel room at the embassy suites...we were all staying there for one of their shows..well, this hotel has a happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 ... well when the guys got there we started drinking and talking..well at one point we realize that JARED from the SUBWAY commercials is sitting right behind us at a table!!! it was totally crazy...we contemplated asking him for a group photo...because the guys thought it would be kewl for the homepage...needless to say we were pretty drunk and didn't want to come off as rude...we smiled and said hi... we had a second chance at breakfast the next morning..but...we failed to take the oppurtunity again...
Many moons ago (god I am old), while visiting a friend in Toronto...we were at Sam the Record Man and Weird Al was there signing autographs.... We didn't get in line though...not really a huge fan.
I served Mr Raditch (Degrassi Jr High) about 7 yr ago at a resturant. Also have served Edge, Jericho, Batista and several other WWE "superstars" at another restuarant. Oh... and the guy who played Micheal on Roswell was in my restuarant too. Also met lots of hockey players... if they are considered celebrities.
Bobby Baker of The Tragically Hip lives around the corner from me...our kids go to the same school... And that's all I've got...haha
I was present for the presentation of the Ansari X-Prize at the St. Louis Science Center. Got autographs from a number of the Scale Composites engineers, got Ansari's autograph, and I even got one from a former astronaut whose name unfortunately eludes me. Didn't get Burt Rutan's, though; that was a little disappointing. Also, once, I was at the 4th of July festival at the Gateway Arch grounds, getting cotton candy (this is like 7 years ago), and the minivans carrying Huey Lewis And The News drove by (through a crowd of people at about 3 mph); Huey waved with the window down, which didn't impress the security guys lol
In 2000 I saw Erik Estrada, Ponch form "CHIPS", in the airport in Springfield MO. My sister was boarding the same plane, I could not believe how short he is, I am six foot tall, and he looked me straight in the chest!
I chatted with Mr. Bopp, who discovered the Hale-Bopp comet, and got his autograph. I listened to a talk by Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 and was on stage with a small group of people chatting with Lovell afterwards. I should have asked for his autograph. Bopp autographing a pic for me: .
I was on a plane with Bryan Adams. I walked past him over and over but I was only a lil kid and too shy to talk to him.
