We're Back In Waveland, Ms!!!!!!

seems the great people of waveland loved us here so much, we were asked by them to come home and build another kitchen with the intention of staying here for 6-12 months. they even gathered and protested in front of city hall, asking local officials to get the hippies back. most of the christian groups pulled out a few days after we left, now there is an even greater need for help. all brothers and sisters are more than welcome to join in. we are now located on west desoto street in waveland, ms about 1 mile from our old site at fred's. feel free to contact me if you'd like to help out in some way. peace and blessings, Pan p.s. daily highs in the 70's at this time and beautiful beaches 1 mile away from camp!!!!

 

seems the higher powers that be in the gulf south changed their minds after we made the move to go back and set up another kitchen, at their request. they actually went out of their way to keep it from happening after we arrived. good old golden rule, and we didn't have any gold to make the rules. seems hancock county feels that since there is one gas station, a waffle house, sonic drive inn and a chinese restaurant open and only a 30 mile drive to the nearest grocery store that its infrastructure is intact. guess they haven't figured out most folks are on foot since their cars took a swim, but they'll have plenty of time to rest while waiting in line at waffle house for an hour or two.

i was actually going to be down there visiting my folks & was hoping to bring you guys some xtra supplies. i had told my ma about you guys (plus she's seen the cafe on the news) & she wanted to help out. where are you headin next????

 

i'm back home in southwest LA, there is a rainbow kitchen going on in new orleans (Welcome Home Cafe) at this time, i might be heading out for. there are other kitchens in the new orleans area, but they've made it quite clear they want them hippie-free.

People are still in Waveland, it seems to be running, though bare bones, and could probably use support. They were expecting a big shipment from Emergency Communities, and it didnt come so they have to go looking for it.

It wont happen if you dont help.

 

if anyone has been out there, did you see a brother named black bird by any chance? I have no idea where he is, but I think he's helping a releif kitchen somewhere...it's my old man and I'm a little worried because I don't know where he is. Thanks
