this is exactly what i want to do. ive been thinking about it for years. the only problems i have right now are a lack of skills and money, and also someone to go with. i'd like to do it with someone i have known for a long time, like one of my good friends or something, just because i think i could trust and rely on them better than anyone else. buuuttt.... none of them are really down for this kind of thing. oh well, all a sister can do is hope and gather skills i guess.

Hey diamonds let me know what you'd like to do sometime. Check out some threads in the Australia forum on confest. I'm going there ....... I might be able to pick you up on the way coz I'll be taking some funny route from the NT (that's where I am at the moment). But that's a maybe ..... I got no idea what'll be going on in a month. I am working at the moment ..... so I'll probably stick it out there for a while.

Well I've chilled out on going on the road alone. I'm planning of jumping on the Highway child bus. I think the journey would be the coolest ever. And seems to me that all the cats on the bus are the coolest around. I know it's going to be a far-out ride and I'm planning on putting all of me into helping this movement . Well peace to you all.

I just graduated from university and thought about living a vagabond lifestyle in Europe. I would love to learn new languages. On the other hand, living in a commune with U.S. hippies would also be great, but I am not aware of any good communes existing nowadays. Didn't they go out of style? [IMG]

Anyway, I am studying Europe because I want to learn new languages and have new experiences.

mmmhhh because the original movement came from america...60's 70's commune and all that shit :) ...i don't know ...it makes a more funny international mixed-up stories and experience for a commune... i think it's better

Imagine a commune in North Dakota with 20 man and woman commin' from the same village for many many generations... it can be not that bad...but it will be more probably annoying and it's like a closed door to the rest of the world...like an obscure sect in the middle of cold mountains...brrrr...i fell the blizzard from here...

Ive been travelling the states for a few years now. My first advice is as a girl i dont travel alone although i know many who do, go to welcomehere.com and find a gathering near you or a dead show find a buddy and your off, its that easy. Making money comes easy lots of kids actually panhandle for money thats your choice and state of humbleness. There are hot spots where travelling kids hang out around the states, right now lots of kids are gathering in arizonia in quartszite and tucson a good place to make money friends and trade items, theres also okala florida where the winter gathering is occuring never been myself hear good things and bad things my choice is arizonia its where im heading now. Lots of kids travel with dogs for protection it helps the soul, but can also cause difficulities of where you are allowed. northern california is also a very kind place where you will find people to help you. My biggest advice is to stay out of cities especially big ones, if ever hitching make sure you have a ride to the end of the city or you will get stuck. very frustrating and a long walk. theres so much more i can go on about any specific questions

cats got some good advice, i can only tell you stay clean as posible try and not look like a bum. dont be shy, ask for work, its surprising how many people wil be willing to pay you to do some chores, and keep your aura clean, it realy makes a diference when you are living by it :)

I've been saving up money so I can jump on a bus with some far-out cats to Brazil. You should get together with me and come too. Well I hope everyone else is doing great. Lots of love to all of you.

I know that was last years post, but I'm glad I came across it....

I searched out peacepilgrim ... and it is a very inspiring website. I'm reading the link on there, Steps Toward Inner Peace. Truly, this lady had sooo much insight!
