Well, it's confirmed now that I'm officially pregnant again with my second set of twins. OMG, how in the world can we afford two more? We don't know the sex of the babies yet, but we know that they are identical because they are in the same sack. I am only 16 weeks along now, but the doctors wanted to do an ultrasound just to make sure that I wasn't going to have more than one baby again. Turns out they were right. Any of you mama's with several kids have any money saving tips for me? I'm way too stressed out to deal with this right now. Money is tight as it is, I don't know what to do. BTW- my first set of twins are only 15 months old now. Please help.
mama i know money does alot of things, but i have lived on the road for a few years now, and you will always find a way, you live in the united states, your children cant starve if you have any humbleness inside you. I grew up poor and I love the person I am. I dont know you but I bet you have alot of love, and that is what will make your children into beautiful adults. I have found that you can always achieve what you need without money, i dont know where your living but you can put flyers around town for work trade. good luck and for right now just embrace the beauty that you are creating.
We had protected sex every time so I'm still a little bit confused about the whole situation. I guess it's true what they say that not everything is 100% effective.
First of all congrats!! second im sure you already know but here are some ways to save money. use coupons when ever you can, put all the change that you get throughout the day in a jar, stop eating out ( if you do at all), instead of buying name brand buy the store brand, instead of driving try walking or maybe biking ( if it's within a walking distance), To save on electric bill make it an apoint to go for a family walk before or after dinner every evening, thats pretty much all. There's always getting food stamps and welfare it helps out alot. good luck
(((hugs))) and a big ol CONGRATS! My main two money saving tips for lil babes is to breastfeed and to cloth diaper. You will save SO much money!!! If the babes are differnt sex then your other two, check freecycle for clothing or any baby equipment you might need. You can do it!
oh g-d, tandem with two sets of twins?!?! consumer advocacy has a save money thread. look over there. My heart goes out to you with even singles this close together. find out the options you have in your area. Sometimes a different community actually has better social services. Def get WIC.
Congratulations sweetheart! I know you're feeling overwhelmed, but you can do it! It's very, very common for a mama who has had one set of fraternal twins to give birth to multiple sets of twins! My OB/GYN told me that I have an 80% chance of conceiving twins again, but since I had a lot of complications I cannot have anymore children. Anyway, I'm actually envious of you! I would have loved another set of twins! Yes, yes, people probably think I'm crazy but oh well. *giggles* Definitely check into WIC, they will be able to help out tremendously in your situation. Also, look into online groups with parents of multiples that have given birth to more than one set of multiples. They can be really helpful with support and BTDT advice. Honey, you can do this! I know you can. I can imagine your fears right now, but you have been doubly blessed. Twice! You know, they say that you're only given what you can handle. You're going to do just fine. {{{Huge hugs}}}
omfg you are a fertility GODDESS!!! Prepare for a lifetime of "are those ALL yours?" i get that with only three, and they're all about two years apart, lol. Look on MDC or someplace for moms with quads, because that's about what you have they'll have some tips on things like breastfeeding, and keeping the chaos in check. Experience is on your side here; you already know what it's like to have twin babies, and going from one to two isn't as hard as it sounds, so i imagine going from two to four is easier than you'd expect too Never turn down help of any kind. And hang in there! I'm still just amazed!
Big hugs to you.....you'll get through this. You have been blessed with these babies for a reason. Do you have family/friends that will help, not financially necessarily, but just for support, housework, childcare, etc.? I'm assuming you've saved your baby stuff from your 1st set of twins. If so, you won't need to buy much. Stock up on lots of cloth....diapers, wipes, breastpads, etc. They may cost a bit in the beginning, but it's worth it. And, breastfeeding is free! Keep us updated!
