No More Free Websites!

    Due to spammers creating B.S. websites on our domains we have had to shut down our free website service.

    We used to be able to monitor and control the subdomains created, but recently the system was changed by the hosting company, and we no longer have admin control over the subdomains. Which means spammers were having a field day, often creating more than 100 new websites a day using our domains.

    If you already have a website using one of the following domains, please contact us regarding your options. Go to:
    http://www.hipforums.com/forums/sendmessage.php

    All free and paid websites on these domains are now terminated or soon will be!

    hipmarket.com - terminated
    hipplanet.com - soon!
    hippy.com - soon!

    Basically you can get another free website elsewhere and we can redirect your old domain to whatever new one you get, so you won't lose any traffic or search engine standing. But you'll have to act fast to save the search engine traffic, as your old website is no longer accessible.

    Be sure to download your website if you don't already have a copy of it on your harddrive.

    We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but everyone suffers when spam hits the domain. This was the only way we could fight the spam.

    Its a shame people don't get access to have a free website service Skip but I can't stand people who create spam websites. Their a pain in the butt!

    100 websites a day is a load of crap !! :mad:

    Can this be changed to allow websites to be held 'non-free' e.g. by verified Site Supporters?

    No, since we no longer have the facility to host other websites. We might again in the future, but it's not likely now.

    I have several other free websites, if anyone would like info they can contact me! I also got a domain-not free, but cheap! earthstarvillage.com come visit!

    Skip, if you terminate hippy.com how do I access the hip forums??

    Maybe this is a dumb question. I mean I could just go to hipforums.com??

    I hope not, because I LOVE this site. I love reading the articles; they make me think about what I'm doing. And I LOVE these forums...they're so friendly, from what I've experienced so far.

    No. Hippy.com and hipforums.com are fine. It's the FREE WEBSITES we used to offer our USERS that are gone. Got it? :)
