Im six weeks pregnant, and I was wondering if mild cramping is normal? Is it something Ill feel through the whole pregnancy?
Where's the cramp? I'm seven months pregnant and get the mild side cramps once in awhile. When I first got pregnant, though, I was shocked at the leg cramps. It seems to be a normal side effect of pregnancy though there are some things you can do to help them be less frequent. I got them every night for a few months straight. They were very painful and would wake me, a deep sleeper, from a sound sleep. Now I get them a lot less. If you 're getting those you could try eating milk and a banana before bed. Congradulations on your baby! He or she will be worth the temporary discomforts! Have a great new year!
I don't remember and cramping for #1 and #2, but I did get the round ligament pain (something about the muscles around your uterus stretching). This time around, I got constand mild cramps, like period cramps, for months!! It was sorta bothersome, but I just took it easy for awhile
I experience cramps like the once Colourfulhippie described. Talked about it with my sister-in-law, and she said exactly the same thing... it's just the muscles pulling and adapting to the heavier uterus.
Very normal (as long as there is no heavy bleeding)~ you'll just KNOW when something major is wrong.I had period like cramping for both mine in the beginning then the round ligament pains later in the pregnancy ~ oh and those damn leg cramps~ owwww! And congratulatons by the way!
I had a lot of cramping with my pregnancies. It felt almost as though I was going to start my period. Many women experience mild cramping, but if it gets more intense, make sure to let your OB/GYN or midwife know. {{{Hugs}}}
thank you everyone, yeah its like period cramping, any advice about the leg cramping my grandmother drinks tonic water when she gets leg cramping, of course thats because shes diabetic, but it could help, is tonic water okay during pregnancy?and what is round ligament pain about?
Round ligament pain, I believe, is the ligament (muscles) that support your uterus, or maybe the muscles IN your uterus. The pain is litterally "growing pains". I notice it most when I sneeze, or roll over in bed. I didn't get it much past the first tri in my fist 2 pregnancies, but this time around, I'm still feeling it I can't imagine why tonic water would be bad for you but you might want to google it. I went 2 pregnancies with no leg cramps, this time I'm getting them in my sleep. The way I get relief is by flexing (not pointing) my foot, to sorta stretch my calf muscles.
