They're good but I think the orchestra is mostly there for visual effect. Most of what I've heard is axes, bass, drums, and piano.
in my music appreciation class we got to watch a video of them doing some kinda christmas concert for a girl who may or may not have been dreaming... i found them pretty boring, and they even had jewel sing a song with them, obviously that was bad. she sounded like some kind of dying four-legged furry animal.
