i watched "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story" and Stewie goes to San Fransisco and chills out on the corner of Haight and Ashbury with a couple hippies. but i got a question since i'm new to hippiedom and i'm not really informed on some of the historical aspects or hippiedom. what's the deal with Haight and Ashbury? i'm sorry if it sounds like a dumb question. but could u guys help me out
i really, really want to see that movie. . haight & ashbury were where hippies flocked to in the late 60s. theres obviously more to it than that but i dont feel like being on the computer anymore... im sure there are some articles on www.hippy.com that explain it.
Its where the Grateful Dead lived in the Summer of Love and sort of the ground zero of the entire hippy revolution of ideas and beleifs in America.
but back to your question. try to google it, haight ashbury 1960s. it was basically a place were the whole thing started and a lotta kids started going there. some famous bands came from there like i think some one already mentioned.
