You know how you see shit when you're tripping and it seems so real and makes so much more sense than being sober? (like how life seems pointless sober and when you're tripping on DMT you see that life is an intertwined weave with all things living and that all energy runs with mathematical equations, as does everything.) Well think... Maybe that's only cracking the surface of reality. We can never truly tap into reality without a massive dose of DMT, which would result in death. What if this world we think is sane and the tripping dimensions we think of as "insane" are actually the other way around. When we trip we actually come to a sane world, and are out of the insanity that is Earth. That's some crazy ass fuckin' shit right there. Kind of makes me worry.
the DMT make real effect... each of your senses one by one are evaporating... the first one seems to be your view bro...
I kind of see what you are saying...like reality is not really reality and the sub consious is the real reality?
Twizz - there is a theisis written about what your trying to say, and lots of quotes from people like Einstein etc saying the exact same thing, I have it in a book somewhere, I will try and find it and pm it to you - I totally get what your saying though
Reality is a mere view of our world through a filter. Once the filter is removed, one sees the world as it is, infinite. Imagine experiencing everything at once, after the ego is destroyed. That'd be pretty fucked up.
i assume you listened to the Joe Rogan Explains Life audio clip in that Joe Rogan Smokes Weed thread, because thats what he was saying aswell, and yeah, most likely if you try reaching your "reality" in the DMT world you'll end up vegetative.
i thought of that once when i was stoned. isnt it wierd how everyone views the world in a different way and that the reality that they think is the way it is. like you believe something and to you thats the way it is, but to the person beside you thats not the way it is. the world is how you look at it.
yea, i just think that everyone has a different view of reality, although some may be similar. mostly i would say this is due to the fact that we all have different experiences and upbringings (lets face it none will be identical) and this affects our perceptions. this is slightly off-topic and starts to tap into the nature/nurture debate, where i think the majority are beginning to assume the position that it is a mixture of nature and nurture which decides how we act and how we perceive events. an interesting thread tho, i mean, what is reallity? ideally "reality" should be exactly the same for everyone. whether this is when we are free from the affects of exotic chemicals in our system or not, who is to judge? the diet we have and exercise also affects how we feel and probably how we think as well. so how can everyone be expected to assume the same views? personally i think "reallity" should be forgotten, we are all different and see the world differently. i dont think there is any one true reallity. sorry if this is slightly incoherent, i havnt re-read it to see if it makes sense, and wats more i am prone to (drunken) rambling. i cant wait till im an old man so my offspring have to put up with my bullshit
i thought something like that today that if what if when we're sober, we're really high and it's really weird, but for some cosmic reason it's meant to be dull but when a person does some kind of drug and it takes them to this other "world" what if that's the real 'sober' world that for some reason you're not allowed to see on your own woah that's freaky
I get high to stay sane. I don't know if that backs up your theory 100% but it certainly validates what you said in SOME way!
i think you should not forget that a drug induced experience is just as real as a sober experience. teh drugs are changing the way your consciousness recieves and integrates data. theyre just different states. neither more 'real' than the other. drugs can open to unique perspectives on teh world, but in the end theyre still just perspectives.
THAT IS THE ANSWER I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR! Thank you dude, I didn't think even YOU would have anything to say on this one.
I just finished writing an essay on the influence of education in the construction of gender identities. and i'm so stoned.
