So the Hippie of the new Generation is just a dope smoker with no real stand on anything. The hippies I remember do to my age! Where a generation that stood for something and would do anything to make a stance to help make it a better world. Now I guess times have changed and that’s cool. But do remember you’re in a hippie forum and that is what they originally stood for. So Peace to you all and remember you do have a choice to change things.

lets just say that alot of people arent the same as they were back in the 60s but it doesnt mean that somewhere now that someone has the same values as a "60s hippie".

 

i think a hippie now days is one who doesnt wana be controled by societys way of thinking.
a hippie just wants to be free of all things that control and are on the path to finding enlightment.
this how i fell and that is why i call myself one but hay who cares about labels i dont.
so i just live the way i gotta live to be happy. u can lock me up do what ever u want but my belifes are right cause they are mine and no one elses

yeah i dont know about other people all i can tell you is what i am about.....im about peace and love baby...Im about not eating creatures with a face and a mommy and a daddy.....Im about being me regardless of the corporate image....im about non - name brand clothes......i like home made shit......im about music baby - it frees the soul.......Im about searching inside myself to find deeper meaning......hehehe could i go on? yes but it would be stupid.......everyone is different man....some folks in here just smoke pot and listen to sixties music...some folks in here go to radical protests every weekend and chain themselves to shit lol.....The point is no matter how passive or active we are, most of us share a lot of the same ideals....not all .... but a good bit........ everyone is different and there is different levels of support...you cant say that someone doesnt want to change the world or whatever....one person may be the kind who goes and chains themselves to shit while the other sits back and smokes a dobbie in support lol......peace.

 

I don't know if I'm a hippy. Most people call me one, mostly jocks and occasionally people I don't even know, but I never confirm it or disagree with it. I think I could be classified as a hippy if I tried, I seek enlightenment through drugs, music, life, etcetera, I am strongly oppposed to war, mistreatment of animals and inequality, and I strongly support freedom, peace, love and individuality. But there's probably more to a hippy than that.

 

right on! hey speakin of being a vegitarian im trying to become one and im wondering if u have some advice for me, i mean whats the easiest way to become a vegitarian jsut flat out no more meat or ease into it. and how do u get ur protein w/out eating meat?
