High-Ranking Pakistani Official Highlights Cuba's Aid Havana, Dec. 27 (AIN) Pakistani Colonel Atif Shafique expressed his thanks for assistance provided by Cuban doctors to victims of the earthquake that struck Pakistan in October. "They are not afraid of bad weather or low temperatures; their only objective is lending a hand to the victims," said Shafique in statements to the Trabajadores newspaper. "Guests are greatly cherished in our culture; I already carry Cuba within me" stated the high-ranking Pakistani official whose troops are camped along with the Cuban medical brigade at a shelter in the town of Bassian, 160 km from the capital.
