Shameless, I think I mentioned early on that the two of you seemed to share some common ground.

I saw a great sign a guy was carrying at the Memorial Day Parade in the progressive community near where I live:

"IT TAKES A BIG MAN TO BE A FEMINIST"

I'm all over that idea, but I've had to work hard to change the misogynist ways that have been programmed into me as a man in this society. I'm not quite there yet, but thanks to my infinitely patient partner, I'm making progress...

...And honestly I don't why that woman keeps me around anyhow, it's prolly 'cause she likes my power tools and she thinks I'm purdy...

i remember mom hand mixing concrete for sidewalks and patios around the house.Recently while working on her sprinklers she laid down on the sidewalk to get a better grip.Soon a police car stopped someone had reported an old lady had fallen.Nope she told them"just trying to fix a broken sprinkler".Soon after they left a firetruck showed up,same story.I can tell you about tough women. Then there was the time the wife was facing down a big ol'boy, telling him if i didn't kick his ass she would...

WE are women, hear us ROAR...lol.. we have our strenghts and weakness, but we learned to to adapt and survive with one on the tit and one on the hip.. I am way more fierce than my hubby. they boys would always ask for their dad to give them a whoppen when it was called for, if it wasn't a major screwup I would let him handle it but if it was then I got the job done. Maybe that's why I'm so onrey..

    they said 3-6" here...we got about 3.
    It looks so pretty though.

Yeah to weather forecasters...what a gravy job...LIE and get paid for it.If you're wrong..."hey, weathers not an exact science...don't blame me".

Best weather forecast here is to call over to Indiana see whats going on there. Then wait a few hours....

But I did make chiken vegtable soup....always love soup when it snows...

We are in the tailend of an ice storm, we've been froze in for two days. The icicles are fantastic as the sun shines on them and the rainbows of balsting cyrstle whites kilidascopes with brilliant facets of fire and ice frozen in time.
I love the snow too with it's majestic virginity of sparkling white, blanketing the earth with a comfort of Peace and Tranquility. A time for reflection and good cheer, bringing brotherhood and unity in warm association. Cuddling by the fire gives a feeling of belonging and a closeness to ones inner heart. ( and the hard cider in your coaco don't hurt either ;)
Teepi I know your place look gorgouse all indraped in snow, I bet every little sound echos as it meets the fridige air. Are we not blessed to live in such splendor, and have eyes and ears and our cold red noses. Blessed be my friends

Carol, Having kids home from school for more then one day and not being able to send them outside is like being pecked by hens allday.. We built on a room at the back of the house for just such occations.. I bought all kinds of musical stuff, like a karioke machine, guitars, keyboards, maracas, haromicas, and sheet music. I then went to the 'free store' and got dressup clothes for them to wear..it keeps them occupied in a creaive way and I don't have to hear t till it's finished..lol
    Love ya

This chicken soup is even better today....
    We had it for breakfast.

Larry got up and had to clean out the woodstove first thing, then he chopped wood so a bowl of hot soup as just the perfect thing when he came in.

Dr. Zhivago was the first grown up movie my mother took me to. I loved it.

Mary, that is absolutely brilliant...to get dress ups and instruments for the kids.
I love to see kids being creative.

I went through a box the other day thats been packed away for years and foud a little bottle of peppermint oil. I stirred a few drops ino a can of evaporated milk and I add that to my hot chocolate and my coffee...mmmm

Time for blueberry cheesecake.......if you can get here before its gone, we'll share!!

Honey pie....I will have you know when he's out there splittin, I'm STILL in the bed....he comes in, starts the fire, feeds the lil sum bitches, and makes coffee...then he gets my coffe ready, makes me toast with peanut butter if I want it...and brings it to me in bed.
Gosh, I loves me some Larry....

    Yes...blueberry cheesecake...its yummy.
I have an ez recipe if any one wants it.....

Yeah, Man, that's great news, welcome to the wonderful world of fatherhood, your shot at immortality, an opportunity to shape a child's life and make the world a better place for generations to come...

Our daughter's 3 1/2, best thing that ever happened to me.
