    I do as well.
    Seen an old TV performance of Wes from the 60's. He never once looked down to see what he was playing. What a true natural and wonderful muscian he was.

    Wes is great with unique thumb action, great speed and phrasing. I've been a fan since the 60's.

    i have never played with a jazz guitarist that doesnt sample some of his wes' octave style in their solo. im guilty of it too.

    He was one of the first jazz musicians I ever listened to, and I love him.

    I play in a quartet and one of the tune's we play is 4 on 6. The guy is increadible. Great tone, even during some of the quicker runs he does.

    Yeah, he's definitely a jazz legend. Not my favorite jazz guitarist, but of course he's awesome and I'm very much influenced by him...
