While this thread might be of some interest, I am noticing that the author of this thread is using the term "******" and starting several threads either using it in the title or in the body of the thread itself. After reading through, you can tell he is trying to antagonize some people. I don't know how much of a "personal" attack it is, but if one is deliberately trying to get people pissed off, couldn't that be considered an attack?

Its just a way to spend the day, not meaning to piss anyone off, I just find it so fucked up that a simple word, in which many other words could take its place can bring so many up in arms.


Also what people say and whats in minds and hearts are two different things....silent racism it what we should be concerned with.

Which is good in a way but at the same time its the unseen everyday race issues that people pay no mind to.

I think makno had the best point out of the whole deal, whos helping the niggers in prison that are there just cause they are black and are there only cause they are black.

i seriously doubt any of theese lilly white dogooders have lived in flatbush ....or harlem or old san juan or any of the gettos of boston that i have ....or been perfectly happy to be in colone panama ....a white face in a sea of black .....people are easy to love n defend or attack and hate when youve never had to deal with them ..... when you have you lern to read individual people and circumstances ...and dragging up a sterotype could just be a way of bringing it to a light where it will be seen for what it is ......love is more than phoney politness .....its tollerance and realism

 

Thank you, Skip, for taking the time to explain your rationale to me. I definately see your point. Although I didn't appreciate the fascist comment, I can respect your way of thinking on the matter. I'd just like it to be known that I don't have to have things my way, I just like to understand why things are the way they are.

I wouldn't go that far. I think most of the people in here who attack these kinds of threads have good intentions.

I think it's a way of letting anyone who might be directly offended by it know that "Hey, not everybody in here is like this guy".

Thing is, even if it was meant to be ironic there are people in here who wont get that (kids in particular) so right, wrong, or indifferent, it's still ugly.

Someone might learn that from life, but I don't know if any of us are qualified to teach it to someone else.
