    Merry Christmas Everyone!

I'm currently listening to the Magic Numbers self-titled debut album, and so far it has blown me away!

Anyone else got this masterpeice? What do you think of it?

Don't have their album, but I did see them perform with Bright Eyes and Feist in Asheville about a month ago. They were much better live than what I've heard of their recorded stuff. But, that's the sign of a true artist.

    you might like the

    cubby creatures
    The high dials
    and Minus Story

Alright, maybe you won't be blown away, but those bands tend to be somewhat associated with them, I think.

I love the Magic Numbers, they really make me smile. My favourite song is I see you, You see me, closely followed by The mule

The album is pretty good, but as someone said, they are much better live.

I saw them at the Big Day Out while waiting for the Go! Team. I found them really boring. Not absolute shite like lots of the other bands. But I'd never buy an album, or infact listen to them. I think their sound's really bland.

I saw them at V Festival and had the opposite reaction. I thought they were amazing. Of course, festival sound is always a tricky thing. I think their debut is one of the strongest records of last year. I liken them to somewhere between The Beautiful South and Van Morrison, so if that's not your cup of tea, I imagine you won't like them...
