Key of C or G

which kind of harp should i get?

 

Depends what you wanna play.... Personally I like G. If your playing covers figuire out what key they are in.

 

you know that when playing blues etc, the key you play in is actually a 5th away from the key its in.

Like a C harmonia plays in the key of G.

if you play lots with guitarists, id get one in A or D,

 

get both

 

Well if it's your first time playing, I'd get just the one, and if you get into it, you'll eventually wanna get most of the keys....

 

So basically it's an "either/or" kind of situation?

full sets arnt that expensive, like $30 on musicians's friend, granted they arn't the best quality, but still

 

i spent $30 each on my A and E key harmonicas.

 

Yeah man, here it's like 25quid for a single harp.

30quid might get you a real bad set, but I'd reckon your better getting one or 2 good ones than half a dozen ones that screech.

 

Chromatic. Then you won't have that problem.

 

meh, im cheap i suppose...i only spent 10 on my C key, still works alright for me

 

well C key is probably the most common, i spent $10 on that one too.

 

i would start of with a c if i were you, then a or d
i wouldnt get a chromatic though.
