I am a first time grower. My plants are about 30 inches and growing rapidly. I have heard several different numbers when it comes to the yields. What is the average yield for a 3 foot plant? Obviously different strains have better harvests, mine are power plant.
There is no way to give an estimate without know all the conditions such as: type of lighting lumen output of lights distance from light to plant nutrients ventilation what stage of the plants' growth its now in
it is about 6-7 weeks. HPS 600 watt with eye hortilux bulb. All nutrient are organic bllod meal bone meal bat guano pot ash etc. I use a balanced fertilizer 5-5-5 then add blood meal and bat guano to make an organic tea. they are about 16 inches from light. The roo mis 5x8x8 and has a 4inch duct with a 800cfm fan intake and the same for exhaust.
My compliments, it sounds like you know what you're doing. Most people who ask this Q are growing in a corner of their room under a 60-watt light bulb. Ok. It's difficult to estimate since different strains produce differing amt's. Even the same strain from different seed banks differ in amt's of yield. So, if it's now in veg, 3 feet tall and you switch to 12/12 to-day: First the plant will more than double in height in the first 3 weeks. You want to keep using veg nutes during the first 3 weeks to supply the plant with the N it requires for the stretch. At this point, I recommend cutting off all the lower branches. Like 5 or 6 at least if it's bushy. This allows the plant to produce more up towards the top without this lower branches whose yield is usually small and not too potent. Now the answer: Your plant will be like 6' tall. You could get like anywhere from 2.5 oz.--4 oz. Notes: -with a plant that's gonna be 6' tall, I'd begin bending it over, or delay flowering, cut off the upper 1/3 of the plant (topping), wait 2 weeks and then flower. -if you trim branches, use a sharp razor blade and cut the branch off at the main stalk/meristem. If you cut off 1/2 of a branch, the plant will attempt to repair it, wasting budding energy.
Well I'm obviously pro-smoke but, I am a criminal law student and did research for a long time before I began since I know what penalties are involved. If it is going to double in height I had better start the 12/12 now! The seeds are feminized dutch passion, hopefully these are quality seeds. Thanks for the help!!
