Getting High At Work

I work in my hometown bar(not as a waitress), and all I do is sit around and take people's money, and hang out with the waitress on shift. There is one chick who smokes, and whenever we work the same shift, she'll get a friend to keep an eye on the bar while we run upstairs to the hotel part, pick a room, and smoke it out.
I don't think there's anything wrong with smoking at work, if your job is as lame as mine usually is. But if I had a job that included any normal amount of physical labor, I don't think I would want to be high for it....I'm too clumsy when I'm straight. I'd probably kill myself or someone else.......

Yes, I have. I used to work for a party rental company. My job was to drive the moonwalks to the place, set them up, and watch 'em. Alot of the time the moonwalks are for a church/school event so there are tons of parent volunteers. We would set up the moonwalk, show what to do, and then we were free to do whatever until the event was over!


Here's a little story of one of my jobs there. We were supposed to take some moonwalks to a chuch in Austin, a 2 1/2-3 hour drive from the warehouse. The event was 6 or 7 hours long. We got there, set up, explained everything and then we were off. My friend who was working with me had an uncle that had a lake house 45 mins away, so needless to say that's where we went! It was great, we were on his uncle's Corvette boat on the lake, and we were being payed $10/hour for doing it! That was one of my favorite jobs there...

Plus the after-prom events for school are fucking awesome too. They always have parent volunteers and they always have TONS of catered food for you to munch out on!

 

And if some kid happened to get hurt on the moonwalk that YOU were supposed to be supervising, your employer would be wide open to getting their ass sued off for negligence, and potentially having to pay out a shitload of money or even losing the business, because YOU were off getting stoned when you were supposed to be working.

 

Yep, I always went into work stoned. I had to....like a ritual since I have been 17 (working full time since 15). Funny stories to tell? Not reeeeaallly.....but I am really bad about keeping it secret from the bosses. I dont really bother to cover up the smell and one job I had my boss told me that she knew I was taking pot breaks at work and blah blah. So after I left there I got a really awesome job at this small tanning salon where I would open and close by myself and I was friends with almost everyone who came through. So I used to take smoke breaks in the bathroom when there were no customers....so one time I was in the bathroom smoking a bowl and I heard the door open, so I came out, leaving my pipe and pot on the sink, and I closed the door behind me and went to my computer to check the woman into the booth, but she went straight for the bathroom! (This lady I didnt know at all) and she came out giving me horrible looks and then wouldnt talk to me for like a month every time she came in! She would act so uncomfortable around me. I called my boss to let her know what happened (so she wouldnt hear it first from this lady) and she was cool and told me she didnt care if we lost a customer over it and not to worry. Then all the sudden this lady came in one day and struck up this long conversation with me and since then she was like the nicest person and really happy to see me and shit. I dunno...weird....but I shouldnt have been smoking pot in the restroom....that was shitty of me to do. From then on I just ran to my car for a smoke break.

 

last year my summer job was shoveling horse shit and spreading mulch for 8 hours a day. Find a 15 year old who can do that sober and ill find you a purple flying pig that can play poker and speaks mandarin. i blazed like every day... my boss didnt even care... as long as i got my work done.... heh i ended up spending half my paycheck on weed

 

Anyone who attends work stoned/drunk/whatever is pretty fucking stupid. There are quite a few of us who spend most (in some cases, all) of our free time doing our best to get marijuana legalized. This varies from petitions, phone calles, meetings with MPs etc.....

Don't you think your giving us a pretty bad name? No wonder the majority of people hate anyone who does drugs..... Because of idiots like you!!!!!! Some bosses might be ok with it, but what about coworkers, customers etc????

I know there are many jobs out there where being stoned probably wont have any effect on your performance. But I think its irresponsible anyway,

The day I am pathetic enough to go to work stoned (same goes for school if I was younger!!!) is the day I will either A) Quit drugs B) Hang myself.

Lol what is kardons problem. anyways work just wouldnt be the same without being high, i try to get high b4 during or after work or all three if possible its just fun. its cool cuz everyone smokes bud and no1 cares.

When I worked at Publix I had bought a bottle of xanax form a customer. 60 blue footballs, to be exact. The night I bought them I went to my cousin't house and the 4 of us ate all of them except for 6 of them. So the next day I went to work and ate the last 6 xanax's at work. I just walked around zoning out and talking to random people and not doing any work at all. So finally, I noticed that the dairy isle was looking kinda empty and I need to refill it. I went to the freezer were all of the milk and ice cream was, filled up a pallet with about 40-50 gallons of milk and some ice cream. I took all of if out of the freezer and I realized that it was my break time. So I went to break, without realizing that I left the pallet sitting in the middle of the floor. I got outside and started smoking bowl after bowl after bowl, even inviting random strangers and co-workers into my car to smoke with me. My boss was standing outside the front door of the store watching me and shit. I stayed out in the parking lot for about 3 hours(a 3 hour break) and just smoking and smoking and smoking. So I finally went back inside at about 8pm, 3 hours before I was supposed to leave. My boss told me to come to her office and she closed the door and asked me what I have been doing for 3 hours, because I had left the dairy products on the floor and she said it was all ruined and it was gonna cost the stoer hundreds of dollars. She said that I was seen walking around the store in a daze and being nonproductive, just hangin out, pretty much. Then she said she saw me in the parking lot driving around and smoking weed with my music blaring, just disturbing the customers and everything. She told me to leave and just come back the next day and someone else would finish my shift. They didn't even fire me. Some of my co-workers told me that they could tell I was fucked up and they were laughing their asses off. It was pretty funny.

Then I had another job a few months later, it was a bong shop and a porn shop. I came to work on about 6 xanax bars one day and they ended up firing me because I kept giving people shit for free and just kinda acting all drunk and fucked up and smoking blunts in the parking lot. They fired me for being too fucked up to sell bongs. hahahaha

 

i always go blazed as fuk to my work because i get payed the worst of jobs.. 5.50 me n my bro will smoke 2-3 bowls on our way in and we sak at grocerystore but 9 out of the 15 ppl wwho cashier and sak are either potheads or dealers
