In another thread the point was raised that one is banned without warning--I have to agree, I think that this is wrong. There has to be a reason for everything, and the opportunity for people to retract unfortunate statements, and apologize. That only seems fair. But I guess since Skip is less concerned with developing a community tha he is making money off of his "Hip" ventures, it's easier to eliminate people who step out of line occasionally. Kind of like Stalin did. I think ultimately what it comes down to is who has earned Skip's favor, namely, who's divied up some cash to "help support" Hip Forums (ie. Skip's whoring and partying in Amsterdam).
Why do you keep comparing him to Stalin? It's just a message board.... and even though it is a free speech one, it still belongs to Skip and he can do whatever he wants. You don't have to post here if you hate it that much. I guess you're just addicted to oppression.....

what he was banned for was nothing more than a differing opinion. he was not flaming anyone. the only people that would consider him an ass are the ones he disagreed with, and every time someone disagrees with us we end up thinking they're a bit of an ass because we're so arrogant of our own opinions. beware of any group or place that doesn't encourage people with differing opinions to voice them.
he flamed with everyone. where have you been. I wouldnt have banned him but his anti wahtever was posted prioer to his post caught up with him. and he wasnt baned any way. Cirrhosis posted today.
the people who annoy me most never get banned. i wouldn't want them to, even though i find them pretty rude. i just find the unevenness of the banning to be disturbing.
i don't know, i can dig that to a certain extent. i remember the games forum going down, and a thread in suggestions went up were we all discussed how unfair and how skip went about the wrong way, then the thread got deleted but it's cool now
