my best friend went there for i think a year before she transferred out, unfortunately i can't remember her reason, if it was curriculum based or more personal. she was majoring in photography as well. i think she was just unhappy with the vibe of the place, i went to visit her once and it seemed kind of cold and extremely clique-y, and like everyone was trying to maintain this lofty hipper-than-thou distance from each other. it's a pretty competetive environment, with a lot of access to all the city has to offer. i'm sure it's what you make of it. there was a lot of fashion majors there. i think if you thrive on competition and you have a pretty high drive to succeed it'll be great for you. It'll be great being so close to the city
i was thinking about going to pratt this fall...but i decided to go to a regular university before going on to art school. i have heard a lot of good things about the school, i hope u have fun there!
to study Fine Arts. Even with a scholarship, it was $15000 for a single semester. Are you majoring in design? pm me because I have much to say about pratt and its environment. in short, i can say the place has terrible vibes, and not for the person who wants to truly understand herself through art.
