Update on dreads (1yr1.5mo)

Here are a few pictures I snapped today. My dreads have gotten messier and have some rough spots but I'm really learning to love them, whatever condition they are in.


I sewed in the loose hair around my part, it really helped.



Please excuse the goofy face I am making. This dread is pretty funky looking.. and look, I added a bead

 

I dance to dry my dreads after a shower

I dreaded my friends hair.. I orginally dreaded it in the summer but it came out due to his very thin, fine hair. This time it's staying in, woo.

wow those are beautiful.
How did you start them and how did you get them so small? I haven't seen dreads so skinny on caucasian people. those are so pretty.

 

My mom backcombed them for me and we used wax for the first month or so (I didn't know it was so horrible at that time). She backcombed them really small to start with. Since then a few of them have joined becoming bigger while others just somehow got bigger on their own. I really wanted skinny dreads but I am now wishing they were just a tiny bit bigger. I still really enjoy them though.

they are gorgeous. I wanted mine that skinny :S...I like them how they are now but still I wanted mine that skinny. My mom doesn't like them but oh well
