AHHHH.... at first i had these really long strands and now they are so short. I think the shrinking process is done but it wAS too exagerated compared to what i expected. I think it shrank an inch or more. how long do you think it'll take for my hair to grow ..... 3 inches?
I dont know how long it will take to grow, depends on how fast your hair grows. my dreads shrank more than two inches so your lucky they didnt shrink too much. its kinda like when you get your hair permed, it always seems shorter than when you started.
it's all good...they're just gonna be super tight! some people lose 8 - 10 inches or even more, it's just the natural process for locks. they start off pretty loose, and as they tighten and fatten up, they suck in all the hairs and loops, often at the cost of a lot of length. but with enough time, they'll grow way longer than your hair ever was before you ever had 'em, so...patience, and it'll all work out. i promise..
mine didnt stop shrinking afor about 8 months. Then now in the space of a year (from looking at a braid that was put in) they grew about 5 inches
i dunno, from what some people have said theyres shrunk by 1/2 the length..which would mean mine would be 8 or 9 feet long if it wasnt dreaded..except for the fact that when u dont got dreads constant brushing causes split ends which then get trimmed off..& it might not seem like alot but it adds up the other thing is, normaly your hair if not dreaded wont ever grow past a certain length, but with dreads thats not really true..in fact 1 guy i saw grew his over 35 feet so dont ysa worry, what u lost you'll quickly gain back
