Directed by Robert Zemeckis, with Jodie Foster and Michael McConaughey(however you spell that), liked it quite a lot. Finally sheds some light on the whole fundamentalist religious issue when it concerns extraterrestrial life. 400 billion stars!!! There must be somebody out there....
Ever see that episode of southpark called rhinoplasty? See, a guy has a nose job, and after he's waking up all nausaus from the drugs the doctor starts talking in length about all the icky shit that's happening. The doctor tells him about blood, and mucus, and all that vomitus inducing things, and at the end the doctor says off the cuff "ever see that movie contact" at which the guy who had the nose job starts violenetly puking and summed the movie up the best "I sat for three gd hours and the damn aliens were her father!"
lol thats nice. I thought it was a cool movie. They couldve done a better job editing it (*it is kinda long) but i think the last half of the movie really gets interesting. The whole worm hole thing is so fucing cool. Quite possibly the coolest scene in any movie of all time.
I thought it was amazing! Wasnt the book written by the late great Carl Sagan who did Cosmos? I love that guy.
Andy Thats 400 billion in our gallaxy [miky way] There are an estimated 400 billion gallaxies thats 1,600,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 [1,600 trillion trillion trillion stars] It is not statistically possible that we are the only life in all that. Occam
