Has anybody heard anything from this guy? He's new on the reggae scene...he's a Rabbi, and pretty good from what I've heard so far.
he is a hasidic jew, and he is only 27 years old, it takes a long period of study for someone to become a rabbi.
by 27 we could have a smicha, which is like a masters level work, but it begins in yeshiva earlier than college level work. I've known men to get their smicha at 22. BUT Matis was away from school for years, raised Reform, and is a return to Orthodoxy (as am I). He is a Chabad Lubavitcher & has been in yeshiva. He will, I expect, get ordained as many young men do, but for research or a pulpit, I could not say. He and his wife had a healthy son in September.
