Recommend me some music. My taste is getting increasingly adventurous I must say. I like the likes (?) of Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd (duh) Neutral Milk Hotel, The Soft Machine...you know. Anything adventurous, or alternatively something more conventional but with really good lyrical content...like I dunno Fisher Gorey and the Lordromats. They don't exist as far as I'm aware but if they do tell me and I'll check them out. I also like country and folk traditions in general.

May be you like some stoner rock mixes with doom/drone stuff as well. Try Electric Wizard or Sleep's Jerusalem.

I'm not overly taken with Devendra Banhart...he's alright but there isn't a great deal going off in music, and the quirkiness of his music seems rather contrived to me. Interesting voice though. He was very effective on Antony and The Johnsons' album.
