I saw on the news... 5 months in the pen and 5 months under house arrest... It's just too damn bad that she has to be under house arrest in that big huge luxurious house of hers.....
hahahahahahahaha it is pretty funny. for a while, all the tabloids and newspapers were posting cartoons of her decorating a jail cell...now maybe she'll actually get to. i don't really get the idea behind house arrest either...it sounds sorta like a stay at home vacation, to me. on a semi related note, i never understood expelling/suspending kids from school, for being bad. after all...most kids are just dying to stay home from school anyway...where's the punishment in that?
personally i think her going to jail doesnt help society at all. Its only going to cost us more money to house her for 6 months..and she wasnt even fined for the entire amount that she "saved"(Despite her losing like hundreds of millions of dollars). We would have been better off giving her like 5 years probation, and for her to pay like a 3 million dollar fine, and have her give business seminars to poor people for free so they can improve their life...we'd be better off if that happened, instead, our tax dollars foot the bill for her to go to some minimum security jail.
well the thing about making kids stay home is that their parents are told and then your parents yell and lecture at you,and then they make you do chores all day or something. but i guess they might not...
willow, yeah, your parents might get mad and yell and stuff, but most people's parents work... which means that when they are done bitching you out, they're off to work....which means you're on your own...which sounds like most high school kids' dream...lol. just a thought.
is she going to a federal pen? i dont' know much about her trial. except that she's now going to jail. ------------ i loved being suspended and my parents weren't that mad at me either. i defended myself, but i ended up hitting a teacher during the fight. but my suspension started on thursday adn was a 3 day suspension. so i had thursday, friday, then the weekend off from everything, and then i had monday and went back to school on tuesday. it was really cool.
She always has such wonderful meals, I wonder what she'll eat in prison? Or, well, I guess we know one thing she'll eat. But that raises the question: What wine goes best with vulva?
I'm sure she'll find a way to grow an herb garden in her cell to decorate her jail meals.... all the napkins will be folded nicely...
So New York tax payers are going to pay the bill to keep Martha in jail for 5 months because some right wingers didn't like her feminist self-empowerment for women ideology and the fact that she contributed some money to the democratic party.
She wasn't convicted of insider trading. They got her on conspiracy, making false statements, and obstruction of justice, and all that happened after the stock sell. She should have just told them that her broker told her to sell the stock. She woulnd't have gone to jail. The media started this issue on her long before the prosecutors. They didn't like her feminist ideology and her contributions to the democratic party. Fox News talked about her nonstop for about two and a half years. Once it was in the media, the prosecutors in NY started getting involved with the issue.
Fun facts: There is no right-wing conspiracy (both left and right are part of the same conspiracy). And the media (aside from FOX News, the New York Post, and a couple others) is very, very, very Liberal biased. But despite all of that, none of it had anything to do with her conviction.
Think of all the other people that do what Martha did or worse that get away with it because they are not brought out in the public eye by the media. I know that's difficult for some here to follow. Too bad Ken Lay wasn't on Fox or the other corporate news networks every day straight for two and a half years. His company swindled people out of billions. But, he's going to get what he has coming too.
martha stewert... haa haaaaa.. what a fake.. they were interveiwing some of the workers of martha steweret anfd they said she's a real bitch!
No disagreement there. Martha always reminded me of the actor Betty White on the Mary Tyler Moore TV show. Betty would do her TV show about cooking and housekeeping and be real sweet on camera. Then the moment she was off camera, she would turn into a bitch.
