it puts it in the hallucinogen cataglory with ecstasy, lsd, peyote, pcp and some others. "when smoked, or when heated and then eaten, marijuana produces feelings of disorentation in space and time. continual use of marijuana can lead to addiction and a suppressed activity level referred to as amotivational syndrome."
so are any of you suffering from amotivational syndrome yet?

hallucinogen and addiction? so much bullshit, you should do a "project", explaining the dangerous you encountered during your experience, feed that shit to your teacher and see what happens.

that reminds me of this thing we saw at school, and it was about weed leading to permanent meth damage. And then this one guy would step in and talk every once and a while, and be like "yeah thats your standard green meth, and wow you can tell she was on that purple meth right there", and idk nothin about meth but come on its so fake. thats pretty sad.

I always found the choice of words interesting (not the first time I've seen a passage like that). "disorientation in space and time." well, not really. Time as we percieve it is different of course, but "disoriented" sounds so negetive, when it's really just different, or good. All those descriptions always pick the most negetive sounding adjectives. They often say "distorted" too. I'd say "altered.

yeah, i've noticed that a lot too. they're very clever with their word choice. and classifying marijuana as a hallicunigen (sorry, im not in a spelling mood) is just....stupid.

I've noticed that when I first wake up from a good night's sleep I occasionally experience some disorientation in space and time. Does this mean that I should avoid sleeping? The anti-drug campaign- even under the guise of "education" is such insultingly transparent bullshit I can't help but wonder what whoever thinks it up is on.

oh and by the way, my friend ripped this out of a health book and gave it to me: "(underneath of a perfect looking leaf) Marijuana is an illegal drug. Drugs can harm you in many ways. It affects your memory, concentration, coordination, and reaction time. What are YOUR strategies for avoiding marijuana use?" and underneath that, someone had written in "herion and whores"

I agree with that......... but not classifying it as a hallucinogen. yes, it makes you amotivational, and yes you can get disoriented with time.... and I know first hand.

amotivational isnt neccesarily a bad thing .. . . but yes it does and can happen, so can the reverse. as long as you have the occasional sober time inbetween, then the amotivational isnt as severe. with me at least.
    oh yeah, happy birthday acorn.

Shit you cannot know how demotivated i am...Weed only brought shit in my life. I stopped going to college 2 weeks after starting man. What a motivated boy i am.

Marijauna, like anything, is addictive...Not for everyone though, but i must say its pretty serious in my case.

Pot is not fairy powder man. It's a fuckin drug.

And this stuff in your book is info not propaganda. Youll find the same points at erowid.

Wtf you can be pro pot and recognize the negative effects it has on lots of ppl! It is a very important part ...Concessions!

a lot of textbooks and health pamphlets are just straight up WRONG. the government can't afford to feed you the truth. we live in a society that prizes efficiency and submissiveness, not alternative ways of seeing/experiencing...

It's generally not physically addictive, and there's no fucking way it's gonna do anything to you like PCP will, and its effects are nothing like LSD, or E, and especially not like Peyote.

So yeah, the book's full of shit for the most part.

The lack of motivation shit, yeah, I know that's true...but pretty much every thing else it says is bullshit.
