Whats your favorite? Mines gotta be Phish's "IT". The jams are incredible. "Seven Below" is probabably the one I skip to most often but just about every song is incredible. The fucking "tower jam". Thats fucking cool as shit! One thing that really irritates me about the DVD though is how they repeat some of the same songs on the disc two "bonus disk". "Chalkdust" is one of the repeated. That sucks. And also the interviews. Theyre awesome. The backgrounds and the stuff the guys talk about. But theyre in the middle of a fucking song! Do it after the song. To tell you the truth the Grateful Dead's "Movie" (Jerry's a fucking bad ass editor) and "The Closing of Winterland" are my favorite. Which other ones are good?
Closing of Winterland, except for the Scarlet Begonias, not a fan of the way the drums are played on that version. But the I Need a Miracle and Not Fade Away are some serious jams. Also like soulive 99-03, love watching neal's bass hand.
Pura Vida/ SCI, Groove TV's stuff (although clunky) esp his Fareed Haque, Steve kimock's Live at the Gothic Theatre (i'm in the credits) I think most of teh recent dead DVDs (Vault) are well produced.
Paul and I were the backdrops and Gak was video projection on the dyes. By name I'm in the thanks...I think for running allover the place to open up locked places & connect all the stoners!
Allman Brothers Band's Live at the Beacon is my favorite, though I am partial to the Allman Bros. I own Phish IT as well.
Bittersweet Motel is so good! i love the bonus CD for the IT DVD.....of course they play the Chalkdust again....they didn't have the full 25min version on the Documentary part.....i'm so glad they did..... i also love the Grateful Dead DVD "anthem to beauty"......
ben harper - live at the hollywood bowl is awesome phish - it is good the grateful dead movie is pretty sweet
Deepest End - gov't mule is pretty good. Anyone seed and widespead panic DVD's? Ive been contemplating getting one.
I must be getting too tired...I could have sworn that the title of this thread was "Favourite James Bond DVD." Nevermind, eh?
