The talk of Christmas got me thinking. What thoughts do you associate with different holidays? Haloween- Dress up, get trashed and have a good time. Thanksgiving- Roadtrips to New Mexico. Christmas- Big tree with presents. Valentine's Day- Eat a lot of heart shaped candy. (not romantic at all) Easter Sunday- Eat a giant meal. (Like Thanksgiving, but with lamb, rather than turkey) St. Patrick's Day- Wear green, and drink green beer. 4th of July- Barbeque and blow stuff up. These are the only holidays I take much notice of. I think I need more holidays to celebrate.
xmas - presents, family, food, fun, no work or school, hurrah! halloween - the agony of deciding on a costume, the bars being disgustingly full and very few trick or treaters as of late, but I still really really look forward to it thanksgiving - food and friends. usually the holiday we invite over friends whos families are not so great or live far(ish) away august long weekend - Fringe festival! volunteering, friends, drinking, and super late nights vday and easter are just candy days... my grandma likes to buy lots of candy and send it to me cuz she's silly and wonderful like that
I'm going to give a little rating system with my favorite being one, and my least favorite being eight. Halloween: Get smashed and worship the devil. And Aladdin. (4) Thanksgiving: Hang out with family and get turkey drunk. (3) X-mas: Don't do the jesus thing, but like the break. See all my folks. (6) New years: Very smashed and lots of kissing. (2) Valentines: Less smashed, lots of kissing, and Candy. (5) Easter: Candy. but no break and little kissing. (8) Veterans Day: No body appreicates what I do for the country, But I usually get drunk out of spite. (7) 4th of july: Drunk, Barbeque, friends, explosives, and kissing. (1) Number one all the way!
Shit, I can't believe that I forgot about New Years. I spend those getting drunk with friends, just like everybody else. You're right about Veteran's Day though. I respect people who've served, but I don't really pay much attention to it.
new years isn't really like a holiday to me, it's the change of the calendar and a day of drunken revelry though this year I'm hosting a pajama party with girlie drinks, icecream and chocolate. ooooooh yess
I wish! I wish there were cooler girls in my area. The problem is that we're all thinking the same thing.
you're invited too! Just, y'know, get a babysitter or have your boy look after the kiddos and get your booty up here
I'm sorry... it's not my fault I was born and raised in the frozen norths. Ok, there's more northern and more frozen places, but it's cold today
How cold is it there ihmurria? After today, I decided that I'm not leaving the house for the next three weeks and the next time will only be when I leave to the airport to go back to the sunny and warm ENGLAND! I don't understand how I've ever managed to survive in such a cold weather.
oh, it's only -13C today. Yesterday it was -25C though, brr.... after about -15 it's too cold for me to want to even bother leaving the house, no matter how much I bundle up
