Has anyone else read this book by kurt vonnegut (kilgore trout). I enjoyed it a lot. It didnt really get juicy until the end of the book where some questions started ro arise. It really made me question some things in this world.

The next book im getting of his is breakfast of champions. Anyone read it?

I just read it a few weeks ago. I thought it was awesome. I have since read Cat's Cradle and thought it was even better.

Are you saying Kilgore Trout is Kurt Vonnegut?

Oh yeah, nevermind. I was thinking of the guy on this message board, not one of Vonneguts characters.

SH5 is a great book. You're going to love Breakfast of Champions. That book is incredibly funny.

Slaughterhouse-Five is actually the book I'm reading right now! I knew it was a classic, but it's cool to read all your comments on the book...

Man, I haven't read Slaughterhouse since I was 12. I thought it was great then, and I think it's great now. I should read it again...thanks for reminding me.

i LOVE kurt vonnegut, he is my favorite author. I liked breakfast of champions more than slaughterhouse 5, but both of them are awesome. He also has published some very good short stories.

One of my fave KV quotes: "The universe is a big place. Perhaps the biggest."

I love Kurt Vonnegut- his stuff is so good! There is a book of short stories he has, and it's called Welcome to the Monkey House. I just read them and they're so cool, there is one about people who have a machine that when aimed at a particular spot in the sky, receives frequency that when played is this really weird humming that puts everyone into a euphoric trance. And when theyre in the trance theyre in such euphoria that they dont even get hungry or cold or anything and time flies really fast so when they come out of the trance they are all sick and uncomfortable. Kind of like when youre really drunk and happy and you wake up in the morning with bruises all over yourself and a terrible hangover
