This may seem kinda off-topic, but i hear alot of people on here who are religious and whatnot and they get mad at other people for having sex casually or whatever, and I just want to say this: Is it just me or does it seem like religion is only there for people who just are scared of dying? Cos i wanna live my life how i want to, and i don't really wanna go anywhere when i die. Just wanna let everyone know how i feel about that. Anybody else have any thoughts? No flaming please. I is new.

There appear to be a lot of young people with rather fundamentalist christian beliefs, to me it is a bad sign. Live your life how you want to, you know what is right and wrong in your heart without having backwards people brainwash it, along with other propaganda into your head.

Just don't forget that people were around long before christianity...and they reproduced somehow!

People are always going to have their own opinions, and thats fine, but where it is wrong is when you try to force your opinoin on someone else.

    Live and let live!

I say believe what you want but don't shove it down someone else's throats...or if you're into killing people for your religion, well that wouldn't be right either, but you get what I mean. I don't care, make up your own religion, just don't try to force it on me and tell me I'm wrong for not thinking the way you do. Of course we're all going to think other people's beliefs are off the wall, but as long as anyone isn't being ridiculed for it, then it should be a-ok.

I think it's safe to say "What goes around comes around" so I think people should take that into concideration, but if not then oh well. You know the difference between right and wrong...just try to do right. Or at least that's how I see it.

I think everyone has to consider what feels 'right' and what religions tells us is 'right' And many decide to go with what is normal, natural, pleasurable and does no harm to anyone else in this geat big world. To deny ourselves what is so natural and pleasurable is ridiculous.

In Australia, organised religion is in crisis. Mainly due to sex, and the religious taboo on sex. Virtually nobody waits until they are married to have sex, the average age of first intercourse is 16 and first marriage in the late 20's. Having made the break on religion and sex, Australian's now question what purpose is there in religion when it seems to be nothing but 'thou shalt not'. Any many, myself included, have taken an alternative path that is no longer connected to the Christian religion.

Practicising Christians are around 10% of our population, and falling every year. In our society, churches are irrelevant. And yet we are peaceful and happy and have a very low level of crime and civil disobedience.

    Mark from Australia.
