My ornaments..stockings..new top..PIC heavy

Here is what I have been busy on for the past two weeks..

Mushroom top I just finished up this morning..
My embroidered ornaments and our corduroy stockings. I let each kid pick out their own emb designs. Mine is the blue one and my hubbys is brown.

 

ooooooh, i LOVE that mushroom fabric!!!!! my11 yo dd would too (she takes photos of mushrooms when we go on hikes, lol, she's obsessed)

the ornaments and stockings look great too! every year i say i'm going to make more christmas presents and decorations, but i can't seem to get it together enough to make that happen. and this year i've been crafting like mad, but doing it all for money. that's nice to have too at this time of year, but i still want more homemade stuff for us for christmas!! maybe if i thought of this before december it might actually happen, lol!

any ways, i'm in love with that shirt, especially that fabric, it's just great!

The stockings are sooo cute~I always say I'm going to make my hubby and I stockings but I get too caught up in all of the other gifts I have to make

For the ornaments..I got some water soluble stabilizer that I use. I hoop it into my emb machine and stitch out the design. Then I cut it out and put it in some water and the backing dissolves and leaves the ornament. The stabilizer also hardens the thread so the ornaments are more sturdy. Cool stuff.

everything is very nice and i am amused by the stockings saying 'mama' and 'papa'
