ok, the concerta pills i have seen are the 18mg, 27mg, 36mg, and the 54mg. I know that the active ingredient is methylphenidate. I was wondering how much is in each because I have had pure methylphenidate pills and I have taken 108mg of concerta before and if i took 108mg of methylphenidate i would be going crazy. So if anyone knows how much is in each like what is the ratio of it to what ever else is in them.
Im not sure. I just know I was taking them for ADHD and that I looked at the prescribing information, and It contains like 3 chambers in each pill. The first is like the initial start and releases for about 2 hours, then the second does release for so many hours and the third brings it down. So I am thinking the ingredient being generic ritalin you spoke of only the reason a certain dose of like plain generic ritalin not time released hits you all at once. A very strange thing about the Conceta pill is that the 'shell' itself can pass through your entire GI system and the empty Concerta shell can come out in your poop looking like it was never even digested. I found out that when I was wiping my ass and I was like, "The Conceta pill is on the Toilet Paper and it must not be dissoving" So took in a baggie to ER and showed the TP to the ER Doc who said it is normal to pass the shell in your poop only the medicine is gone from it. er, you can get a nice buzz if you take about 50mg, snorting it. 100 is way too much. it seems, at the start, it doesnt always hit as hard.. but anyway, 10mg is enough, for a little buzz. look really you gotta experiment. start with 20mg. some people find phennies (as we call methylphenidate) taste bad, i quite like the taste now hehe. mixes welll with weed. but what doesnt, in this area not quite speed... its specially designed for add.. so it acts on the frontal lobe specifically. effects can be interesting. uncomfortable for others. people with add sorta get sedated. thats fucked up but just how it goes. still havnt worked it out quite
Concertas time release over 12 hours at the max 54 hour dose. More than that would get you high along time. It doesnt release as fast as Ritalin, so 100mg of Concerta would slowly hit you over 15 or so hours, while Ritalin would hit you for 2-6 hours all at once. Far out dude.
methylphenidate works on the dopamine receptors like cocaine but milder, increases the production of it. it also prevents serotonin to be destroyed to some degree giving it a mild anti-depressant effect like the standard ssri's like prozac etc. 18mg is equal to 5mg taken 3 times a day 36mg is equal to 10mg taken 3 times a day 54mg is equal to 15mg taken 3 times a day the other mgs are in the shell thats why they dont add up
