I had always though Bob Marley was really overrated until about a month ago a friend of mine leant me Uprising and I fell in love with it! I think the album is amazing.

Today my friend leant me a sort of 'best-of' double CD and I listened to the first disc and it just didn't have the same great flow that Uprising did, I was a bit dissapointed.

Before I heard this album I'd only really heard his really famous stuff, I thought it was ok, but nothing special.

Can anyone recommend any of his stuff that is similar to Uprising?

Exodus has some famous ones but they are definitely some of the better cuts of those tracks. Natty Dreads is the album I would reccomend.

One of the best albums is "Bob Marley and The Wailers: LIVE!" That is an amazing album and has the best rendition of "No Woman No Cry" I have ever heard.

i have Bob Marley: Gold, it's a greatest hits 2 CD set. it's awesome, it's got some live stuff on there, besides that one i have 4 other CD's of his, but they're all compilation albums, none of them are actual studio albums, but it shows u that he has a couple different styles in his music. he's pretty flexible and can still make his songs sound awesome

but i have to say i absolutely hate "i shot the sherrif"
