dont think there is anything to be dampened.... people tend to overlook the fact that there is universal health care and education in cuba.... something the man he is insulting could learn a little bit from....

sure their economy crashed when the soviets stopped funding them for their political support, and there is huge social class diversity (ironically much like every communist society), but wheres the real poverty?

Since i cant post there yet let me summon this much. Castro was nothing but a dictator and ruin cuba in 1959 . Cuba in 1959 was the most modern country south of key west were in most major city standard of living was very close to the U.S and 1 cuban peso was actually worth 1 U.S dollar when a U.S dollar could buy a lot, not the inflated junk we have today.

health care is a big joke = since the 1960s to get a tooth pull out in cuba meant a nasty experience NO PAIN KILLER INJECTIONS!. and 911 fire and rescue dont exist.

    Info on Cuba's health care:

    http://www.ucdadvocate.com/media/paper538/news/2005/02/02/Opinion/Cuba-A.Lesson.In.Real.Health.Care-853511.shtml?norewrite&sourcedomain=www.ucdadvocate.com

Apparently our trade embargo puts a strain on the healthcare system, affecting availability of medical supplies, drugs, and equipment for doctors. If there are problems with the Cuban healthcare system (like not having enough painkillers for patients) it is because of the US imposed embargo, not because of a flaw in the cuban healthcare system.

Yeah, well the rich here in the U.S get considerably better healthcare than the lower class as well. The rich get treated better everywhere around the world.

Well, if the United States would stop being such a sore winner and stop foaming at the mouth like a mad dog, Cuba would be a better place, even with Castro in power. We (the gov't that is) don't sanction China or Vietnam, and guess what:

    THEY HAVE COMMUNIST GOVERNMENTS ALSO.

I would love to have a Cuban Cigar for no other reason than that it's illegal to have Cuban made products in America, as a way of boycotting the Cuban embargo, and I don't even smoke.

Another way to boycott the embargo is to visit Cuba.
