Well I never actually believed it could happen - until the other night. I did shrooms then acid together about a month ago. I'd done acid before but this time it was a VERY intense experience. The hallucenations were extremely vivid and I think it clearly tapped a part of my brain that I never knew existed. Anyway, the other night I went out with some mates and got on the ecstasy. Three pills to be exact. Then when I got home, still peaking, I got stuck into a heap of weed. After hitting it hard for about 45 minutes it was then that I looked up and noticed that my mate's face was morphing into a cat's face. I gasped and blinked and he was back to normal. It was only for about three seconds but it was so vivid that I knew straight away I was having an acid flashback - my first ever. It came as quite a shock... and I had a couple more moments until eventually it kicked right in. Not as harshly as usual but I was definitely tripping. My hands were shimmering and my blankets looked like they were rippling. I went to the mirror and my face looked like a cat as well. Are flashbacks like these common? Will I ever have them when I'm not on any drugs? I assume my brain just flipped on an overload of MDMA and marijuana and that was what caused the halucenations.
that wasn't a flashback. it was almost definitely a result of being under the influence of a lot of drugs. MDMA can bring on psychedelic effects at high doses, MDA is more notable for it, and to boot unless you made the pills and synthesized the drug inside yourself, you have no idea what else might have been in them. could have been anything. doubt it was a flashback.
I agree with nesta. I've had some pretty intense experiences like that on herb alone. Once you are familiar with the feeling of a drug, your brain is more likely to recognize aspects from that drug. I've been smoking JUST weed, and I'd be in the middle of seeing some crazy fractals and visuals, but then I'd recognize part of the experience as being similar to Salvia divinorum, even though I hadn't smoked Salvia in months, and Salvia doesn't create flashbacks. A flashback is supposed to happen when you're not on ANY drugs, and it's supposed to put you completely out of touch with reality. I don't think that's what happened to you. You were probably just ripped out of your mind.
I don't think it was a flashback...A flashback isnt when your on a psychedelic drug like mdma. Ive seen the weirdest shit on those ectasy pills man...shadow people for a few days and all. Never taking pills again. I mean, they're pretty shitty. Anything that makes me down i find it is. I just cant understand why people take or binge on ectasy. Like a cereal box gift drug.
i like ecstacy a lot. i just prefer proper psychedelics to simple empathogens. also, i'm not a big fan of amphetamine-type drugs, even if they do have somewhat psychedelic qualities to them. not much for sweating and grinding my teeth and stuff, personally. but apart from the obvious negatives, i do enjoy taking ONE roll once in a while. one exception is that i love 2C-B...also, i like 2C-E a lot, but the body load can be a bit much for me, and low doses just make me feel lousy. 12.5+mg is great though.
Hmmm intersting guys. I asked my mate today (who was with me the night we took the same type of pill) whether he experienced any hallucenations and he said no, but he was seeing everything in RGB. So I reckon the third pill we took may have had some acid in it - afterall we got the pills from a random in a club. Like nesta said, who knows what was in them?!
Close to impossible there was any LSD in them. It's possible the drugs affected you differently, after all, that's how it works. Less possible is that some RC was in there.
most pills have at least SOME mdma/mda/md-- in them. less common but still pretty frequent is methamphetamine. after that, it's not too uncommon to find things like members of the 2C- series in there (all of which are stimulating AND psychedelic) and then after that any number of other rcs and various other drugs. LSD is uncommon, but NOT entirely unheard of. it's quite possible there was some other drug in there.
I don't think the quantity any one person takes really tells you whether it is quality or not. Unless they're like I took 7 and giggled for five minutes. Some people like to get more fucked up than others, or can handle more than others.
I get flashbacks sometimes in school during math class... Freaks me the fuck out sometimes, but most of the time it's pretty cool. I have no idea what drug I did to make it happen, maybe I'm just so much of frybag that it happens by itself... I only did DXM, Dimenhydrinate, Weed, Salvia, Valium, Nutmeg (didn't work at 20g), and I think that's about it... Oh alcohol too.
