Ok... and what is the point of hide-n-go-seek, you find someone and go hide and are found and go find someone again... even the seasons have a playful chase... what is there to understand. Perhaps this google search quote will help the mind understand, but is it taking part in the play?

"The transcendental vibration established by the chanting of:

    Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
    Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
    Hare Rama Hare Rama
    Rama Rama Hare Hare

is the sublime method for reviving our transcendental consciousness." God being omnipotent, is non different from His name. Thus by chanting His names one can be purified since His name is all-pure and all-purifying. The chanting awakens within one the dormant love that everyone has for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, bringing great happiness and ecstasy.

    What is the Maha Mantra?

Maha is a Sanskrit word meaning great. Mantra is formed by two words, mana and tra. Mana means mind and tra means freeing. So the Maha Mantra is the great chanting for deliverance. It is the sound that liberates the mind from ignorance. Hare is the vocative for Hara. Hara is the form of addressing the energy of the Lord. Krishna and Rama are names of the Lord meaning "the all-attractive" and "the supreme pleasure " respectively.

So the Maha Mantra means "O energy of the Lord (Hare), O all-attractive Lord (Krishna), O Supreme Enjoyer (Rama), please engage me in Your service." By constantly chanting the names of the Lord and asking Him to engage us in His service, and actually engaging ourselves in His transcendental loving service one indeed feels spiritual bliss."

But hide and go seek involves physical stimulation. This is just repeating the same phrase over and over again.

    .............. Colours

    Hare Krishna!

    Dear Colours,

I am afraid you messed up with the beautiful example given by dear "sylvanlightning". Instead of arguing about what happens when we repeat His names (chanting) it is always advisable that better we practise the chanting and know the results ourselves. Once you sincerely try to do it you will surely know that the mahamantra or any mantra for that matter awakens you in the world of bliss. It is not really very difficult to understand. If I sicerely and clearly, in a calm and quiet place, call out your name, you are only likely to answer my call if you are present there.

Time is very short, I will join you again some other time.

    "Krisna Krishna Hare Hare"

    Love and best wishes,

    Kumar
