Republicans stir up the bonehead vote again!

Out of fear of a low right wing conservative voter turn-out some republicans wanna make this election about STOPPING GAYS FROM MARRYING. You remember last election they stirred up, flag burning and prayer in school.
Forget about health care, rasing minimum wages, and the 1000 young men dieing for oil $$$$. "We gotta stop them homos from gettin' hitched legal like!"

Homosexual marriage should be the LEAST of Bush's concerns. To think he's even making this an issue in his campaign only shows how desperate and pathetic he really is. Of course he has nothing else to stand on, so he resorts to making this an issue.

Frankly, I couldn't give a shit less if people were allowed to marry their pets. It doesn't affect me. I am just getting sick of hearing about it.

No, the Democrats aren't trying to make gay marriage an issue. And Bush had what experience when he ran for president? Governor of Texas? Well, THERE'S a ringing endorsement! And what did he do beforehand? Run companies into the ground and be owner of the Texas Rangers. Who-yaa, you go W!

 

Texas is a bigass state there buddy. Alot of presidents have been governors it's the stepping stone in the executive branch. What companies did Bush run into the ground? Being a Governor is a hell of alot more expierence than being a first term congressman who missed 60% of the votes.

 

And Alaska is even bigger, buddy. What's your point?

I can't really debate about the experience factor you mentioned and I really don't think you can either, so I'm gonna let that lie.

 

Lyndon Johnson was from texas. Did i say governor of Texas? I said governor in general. Does alaska have the population of Texas? No. Does Alaska have immigration problems? No.

 

If you wanna talk about Alaska, that place has problems of it's own-like overzealous politicians trying to destroy pristine wilderness to drill for oil.

 

Edwards actually has more experience as an elected official in DC than either Bush or Cheney did when they took office in 2001.

As for Bush, he got his governorship with the help of his Dad, just like everything else (like his position in the air guard). Americans have had enough of the Bush royal family. If this were the Kennedys, the Bush crowd would be screaming.

 

Could not have said it better myself. Neither Kerry or Edwards voted on this bill, as they have said, rightly, that this simply isn't an Administrative issue, and is a Red Herring. Let's hear Shrub's plan to get out of Iraq and Afgan, balance the budget, help those with no or substandard health care and get REAL jobs for those displaced by Oursourcing (which of course, the Bush family somehow thinks is "good for America.")

Bush wont say a word about these issues because they are REAL complicated issues which require a WORKING MIND to LEGISLATE and ADMINISTRATE and he isn't capable as a legislator or an administrator. Nor can he make a plan and implement it. He can press the buttons of the Nascar watching, WalMart Shopping morons who support him with emotional "issues" like this. WHO THE FUCK CARES and HOW WILL GAY MARRIAGE EFFECT MY MARRAIGE? It isn't a thing for the Constitution, which is a bill of RIGHTS, not restrictions. The ONLY restriction ever put into the Constitution was later repealed. Prohibition. Only Amendments which DELINIATE our rights belong in the Constitution. Restrictions do NOT.

It isn't an issue for the Constitution or for Congress. Bush is running scared and hopes his Nascar watching morons will get worked up enough about this to leave WalMart and go to the polls. That is really it.

To assume Bush had all of his "jobs" and postions handed to him on a silver plate simply because his family is who and what they are, is unfair.

But after seeing him in action, listening to him, seeing who he surrounds himself with, and learning a bit about his past, over these past years- it IS safe to assume it. I'm sure he even did his "blow" on a silver plate.

 

Dick Cheney had worked in congress and on 2 presidental administations. He would be a well qualified candidate for president. I wish this election was Cheney-Bush not vice versa.

 

Cheney's been president all along anyway. Normally, a novice like Bush would be the VP on the ticket.
