All my old shirts, like anything over 2 years old really smell. Not the outside of the shirt, but the inside really smells. It's not sweat, but some kind of sweat/burnt smell. Is there any way I can get the smell out, I really like these shirts.

fabric softeners like downy will not remove the smell. they will only add perfumes to mask it & ruin the fibers with residue. try using baking soda (about a cup) in the wash cycle and vinegar (about 1/4 cup or less) in the rinse cycle.

Try using nice, smelly liquid fabric softener in the wash & nice, smelly fabric softener sheets in the dryer? Thats what I do & people always comment on how lovely my clothes & sheets smell.

If that doesn't work, maybe try a dry cleaner?

naw, you've gotta use soda, not powder. it's not the same at all.
