Are the safest still condoms and birth control pills?

I'm just curious... I might get married this coming year, and I don't really want to go into it having to wear a condom on my wedding night. But I also don't want kids for a couple of years lol

Get her on the pill. But she has to take it for a full month before fully effective.

The pill is good. I'm on the pill and I don't use a condom with my boyfriend anymore. We went through seven on our first night, so I quickly concluded that I couldn't afford that. And there was no way I was going without sex, so I went on the Needle, the Patch and then switched to the Pill. The Needle is awful and I don't recomend it, but for those it works for, it seems to do the trick. The Patch didn't work for me, and it leaves a nasty sticky patch-mark that doesn't come off easily. Totally uncool. However, I've had complete success with the Pill.

I agree bella. My lady has been on the pill for 4 1/2 years and havent used a condom. No problems yet. Dont get orthotricyclen though. I know about 5 people that got pregnant while on that pill.

"Safe" sex is about infection control.

For that, it's barrier methods. Period.

She is on Cylessa now. But was on a different one before that worked great also. Trying to remember the name of it (just asked her, it was Estrostep). Anyways, she switched because those pills got really expensive. I also suggest going to planned parenthood to get pills. It's way cheaper, even with insurance.

My wife was on the pill for 14 years and both our children were planned. No other birth control methods were used until I had a vasectomy.

IUDs are actually more effective than hormonal birth control, and once it's inserted, you don't have to do anything for 5 years except check the string once a month. But if you're going to stop using condoms, be sure you and your partner have full STD screenings done.

as long as you are both clean ask her if she wants to go on the pill or have the coil fitted - there is a new one which once its in and all is well you only get a period every few months and they are alot lighter!!!

If you havent brought the subject of both of you are clean wear a condom

I don't think I'd shoot a girl to prevent a baby... If nothing, it's pretty safe(in the matter of not getting a child[IMG])

get her on the NuvaRing. it's effective, easy, and uses the least amount of hormones to get the job done.

My aunt had her last set of boys (twins) with the IUD - not so effective.
So did my friend's mother, same story, IUD and boom, she's pregnant

I suggest the pill - and the brand really DOESN'T matter (it's a pharmecutical sp? campaign to suck your money out anyway) --- BUT --- it's only 98% or 99% (ithink) effective so long as you take it REGULARLY!!!

So make sure she takes it at the same time every day and you'll be better off (and the pill IS more effefctive than condoms, when used correctly)
