I have no doubts that some of you guys and gals dabble in recording music, be it covers or original pieces. I don't know if this sort of thread has been attempted before - so if it's closed then we'll know why! I invite anyone and everyone to post pieces of music they've recorded here so we can admire each others musical abilities instead of those posessed by famous artists! (although there is nothing wrong with that!)

I will contribute first. My piece is "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" by The White Stripes. I play the guitar (boring, I know) and thusly that is all it is composed of ... I could add vocal/drums/etc however I'm too lazy. Perhaps an original piece once I've completed something! :p I'd like to hear all types of instruments posted...

http://www.soundclick.com/stevendutchnak Here's some stuff I composed and preformed on a keybord. I posted it before but I didn't get much comments, and it took about 8 months to record this stuff. Post comments, post comments, post comments. I liked Alkaline's tune; the only thing I would of changed is to play the vocal melody on the guitar and not use distortion.

    Scrabbled Eggs Music

it's all stuff recorded with my band, Scrabbled Eggs. We have written a few things: a funk song (which is our biggest hit), a German-metal song, and a few others including some sweet raps.

a few of my efforts can be heard here, the christmas blues classic Merry Christmas Baby, a cover of Janis Joplins Ball and Chain, and whatever we have on myspace or mysound.

Im hoping to do some fresh sessions in jam-uary, and record our blues originals that have stacked up for the last year or so.

you guys are all so good...

    i'm at www.myspace.com/lubbilubbing

theres only two songs up as of now... ive recorded a few more these past three days but i havent been able to connect to upload.myspace.com for some reason..
i'm currently recording an album (not exactly a demo though i am going to mail it to a couple of record companies and musicians, not in the hope of getting signed, but just because id like them to listen to my music and possibly give me feedback on it), if youd like me to send it to you after its finished which i think will be before next weekend or so, pm me your address and i will mail it to you.
its too bad youre only allowed four songs on myspace... each song of mine is different, four songs dont really represent my work as a whole (after you hear the album i'm sure you will agree :p).

This is a pretty bad demo of Two of Us. It's just guitar, drums and vocals. The first two verses aren't too good, but the last two aren't bad. I'd post something better, but this is all I had laying around. The drums dominate the guitar a bit too much, and there are a few mistakes in the harmonies. It's very rough, but it does show potential. I wa sstuck playing this one on nylon strings too, so...
