I'm glad someone started a Dan Brown Thread. I read about 5 chapters into "The Da Vinci Code" and if it wasn't my best friend's (who also hated it) I would have burned it or used it as toilet paper. Dull writing, tries too hard to be suspenseful and intriguing and simply fails dismally. What a crappy overrated author, even if the research is good, the author doesn't deserve merit as a writer. Justifies my continuing mission to NOT read books by contemporary authors that somehow get the whole world to love and adore them.
