    Wisdom.
    No.
    Here is a mirror. Look into it:

    Why assume blindness K if not out of sheer arrogance? Could it be that others have seen a lot further than you? It seems so, given the tone of most of your posts here.

    This is ignorance.
    You see truth and perceive it falsely.

    In the depths of meditation, sages
    Saw within themselves the Lord of Love,
    Who dwells in the heart of every creature.
    Deep in the hearts of all he dwells, hidden
    Behind the gunas of law, energy,
    And inertia. He is One. He it is
    Who rules over time, space, and causality.

    -Shvetashvatara Upanishad

    It's not my words you dismiss, but those of Meister Eckhart.

    Meister Eckhart's words bring up an old pain. Been there, done that, don't want to do it again.

    Would you complain equally if they brought up an old pleasure?

    -"When you love you should not say, 'God is in my heart,' but rather, 'I am in the heart of God.'
    And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy directs your course.
    Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
    But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
    To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
    To know the pain of too much tenderness.
    To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
    And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
    To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
    To rest at the noon hour and meditate on love's ecstasy;
    To return home at eventide with gratitude;
    And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise on your lips."- The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran

    Isaiah 65:17-25
    For I am about to create new heavens

    and a new earth;

    the former things shall not be remembered

    or come to mind.

    But be glad and rejoice forever

    in what I am creating;

    for I am about to create Jerusalem as a joy,

    and its people as a delight.

    I will rejoice in Jerusalem,

    and delight in my people;

    no more shall the sound of weeping be heard in it,

    or the cry of distress.

    No more shall there be in it

    an infant that lives but a few days,

    or an old person who does not live out a lifetime;

    for one who dies at a hundred years will be considered a youth,

    and one who falls short of a hundred will be considered accursed.

    They shall build houses and inhabit them;

    they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

    They shall not build and another inhabit;

    they shall not plant and another eat;

    for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be,

    and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

    They shall not labor in vain,

    or bear children for calamity;

    for they shall be offspring blessed by the LORD--

    and their descendants as well.

    Before they call I will answer,

    while they are yet speaking I will hear.

    The wolf and the lamb shall feed together,

    the lion shall eat straw like the ox;

    but the serpent-- its food shall be dust!

    They shall not hurt or destroy

    on all my holy mountain, says the LORD.

    Nicole...that's a very beautifully-designed page. What translation are the verses from?

    I enjoyed reading that very much. It seems to be not a word for word translation but somewhat of a poetic rendering of those verses.

    It was very Beautiful...

    I love this song...I haven't heard it in awhile...and it totally sang to me today... :)

    Mystical One- George Harrison

    They say I'm not what I used to be
    All the same
    I'm happier than a willow tree
    Shine or rain sitting here by a stream
    (Mmm) There's nothing I'd rather feel
    In this world
    You and your sweet serenity
    Rocking me
    Melting my heart away

    I know something so dear to me
    Beyond words
    Beautiful feeling in my soul
    Sounds I've heard
    Like humming birds in a dream
    (Mmm) That mystical one I knew
    Is returned
    Lulling me with those raincloud eyes
    Taking me
    Melting my heart away

    I am yes I am
    I know what I feel
    You came in my life
    Made me more real

    I know whatever we may have been
    In past times
    Has sorted the truth out from the rest
    Win or lose
    I always knew you'd be there
    (Mmm) You answer my deepest prayer
    In a song
    Shimmering slowhand flowing clear
    Moving me
    Melting my heart away

    I am yes I am
    I know what I feel
    You came in my life
    Made me more real

    (Mmm) That mystical one I knew
    Is returned
    Lulling me with those raincloud eyes
    Taking me
    Melting my heart away

    Listen to it!

    I saw an interview with George Harrison a few years back where he read out the following quote - not sure though which novel it's from - pos. Waverley or Ivanhoe.

    "Love rules the court, the camp, the grove, And men below, and saints above: For love is heaven, and heaven is love."

    Sir Walter Scott.

    If you want quality but escapist historical fiction for a change sometime, Scott's your man.
