If they get busted for having underage, they lose their license. Still, I don't blame you for trying. If you go in a big group of teenagers, you are guaranteed to get carded.

Yes you have to be. But that doesn't mean you actually HAVE to be. Only for the law really. If you're a guy with a beard or female and above 1:65 and not have a baby-face.. well theny ou can smoke pot.

Apparently the police are cracking down now on underage smokers roaming the streets and from what I've recently read, it's not wise to carry too much weed on yourself either. I can't believe it myself............no idea if it's true or not.
Yes it is true,these kids have been causing problems while hanging around smoking and i have activly seen cops here in Amsterdam busting people for smoking in public places. If your not 18 dont even try it,i have a bad feeling eventually the Dutch will tighten the grip on shops even more until they are all gone
Yes, me too, I've seen loads of underage types smoking it blatantly in the open, like in family orientated shopping streets which is giving it all a bad name and spoils it for the rest of us. And yes, what's next, closing them down, (gulp)
What happened to the idea of ink stamping all our euros with small plants? surely then they would realise where all their money is coming from! I'm headin over next Saturday and plan on spreading the idea. closing coffee shops to tourists or any of the other extreme measures that have been floated around would destroy their tourist trade. All it would do is force us to get a dutch person to buy it for us at ridiculous prices which eventually would result in pssst.. weed, heroin, K? they dont even belong in the same sentence! Have to say though, we've got no right to tell the dutch kids not to smoke in there own country just so we can. If a foreigner walked up to a group of underage kids drinkin here in Dublin and said "dont do that, you're ruining it for the rest of us" I'm pretty sure you'd be met with a swift right hook
I would hate to see any coffeeshop/business closed down because an underage kid was caught in one regardless.
