Very cool...very cool indeed...and I should know about all that is hippie!

Hi...

I have yet to explore this site in depth, but from what I have seen so far it seems like a very cool site.

About me:

I'm a creative artist. I like to work in various genres and mediums, mostly painting, sculpting & writing. Much of my completed works are in mixed media.

I am a former advertising account executive & marketing director for an L.A. publishing company. I am also a former volunteer social activist.

I am happily married to the love of my life, my soulmate, Joseph. He is 27 and I am 52, and we have been married for 3 years now. I have 3 daughters and one son from my previous relationships. I am very lucky in that I no longer have to deal with the 9 to 5 daily work grind, my husband takes care of that now, which leaves me with a lot of free time to pursue my art and other interests.

I am an eclectic being in my tastes and interests, including: spirituality, religion, metaphysics, music, etc. I have been an avid reader (mostly non-fiction multi-subjects) all my life, and I have had many varied, unusual, and interesting life experiences...and over the years I have known some very interesting folk, a few of them a little famous & and many of them not so famous.

I consider my life to be about a continual explorative journey...I never tire of learning new things, experimenting, and growing as an artist, person, and spiritual being.

I know about hippie-speak, hippie-babble, hippie-life, etc.--having spent most of my early adult life in Northern California in the coastal and bay areas.

I have posted one of my poems in the poetry section of this site, titled: "The Quantum Strings Of The Heart Trilogy - An M-Theory Love Poem"

Allow me extend the welcome mat. I recently found "The Hip Forums" myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to "Flame" you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters. Thanks Sylvanlightening, mimosa, and wooden_head_necklace! Sorry I haven't been around much these past couple of days, but my husband and I have been enjoying his much too infrequent days off at home. We are both interested in becoming paid members.
